Focusing on Life - week 4

Hi ~ me here.

I have a confession - I was here for week 3,
only Sally said to take time for ourselves.
I did - I just didn't take any pictures.........
Sorry.
Ok, moving on. Our week 4 prompt was to Create Art!
I did - in several forms.
I just go this wonderful heart from Nancy Schindler.
Small confession - I hoard her pieces......
But this one spoke to me loud and clear,
had to create this necklace, had to!

I found these fun necklaces on Pinterest
(yes, I have an addiction)
and they looked fun. A knock off of an Anthropolgy piece.

I created with food also, it's an art, yes?
My attempt at healthy oatmeal muffins.
They are good, very dense though.

And, there may or may not have been more of these,
I'm not telling! :)
And there he is!
Playing his video games.
Love him.
Kids are a form of art! I think I have a
masterpiece in the works!
Outside of the box on this one, but
as I am playing with my camera, it was fun!
Please visit Sally's blog to see what everyone created!
Until next week.

I swear to you - I have four of Nancy's pendants in my stash and I just can't bear to part with them either! Your necklace is fabulous! While I love oatmeal muffins, the ones with the chocolate chips look divine, of course, add chocolate to anything and it is instant gourmet in my book! My only problem with your post this week is that it is 10:00 AM and now I have a craving for chocolate covered pretzels...yum!

Love your necklace, and the animal focals are something I would totally WEAR. How fun!

I don't believe you about those muffins being dense. I mean, I'm not calling you a liar but I'd have to try one to see if I concur. Because Oatmeal. And Chocolate. Together. Yumtown!

Kids are definitely an art form...the most important one!

Love the pics this week Courtney - and yes, food is an art form, especially baking! I want some of those muffins and the little pretzel thingies w/M&M's - they look yummy. Kids too are an art form, especially teenagers! LOL!!

Thanks for sharing your various arts. Was wondering if we would see some food! So, are we each getting one?

Lots of goodies here! The necklace is so pretty. Love the silver heart layered on top of the ceramic heart. And yes to the muffins and pretzels! They look so delicious. And what a sweet mom you are in including your son!

I hoard Nancy's pieces as well. I keep telling myself that I am saving them for the "perfect" idea, but that idea never comes. I need to just get them out like you did.

The photos are awesome and those muffins and pretzels look amazing. Eat a few for me. :)

Yeah, thanks for the chocolate craving! I do love your 'art' in all it's forms. Especially the kid. :) Cause my kids amaze me...all the time.
I don't have any of Nancy's pieces, I've just drooled from this side of the computer. But I know if I had some, I would totally hoard...

That heart necklace is gorgeous!!! You've had quite the creative week and I love how you refered to your son as a masterpiece ... a beautiful and always true sentiment when it comes to our kids!

Beautiful necklace! I can relate to the artisan bead hoarding in a BIG way! I also like the muffins, boy do those look tasty. Yes cooking is an art form! At least for me because I hate to cook, so it is quite the creative achievement for me to combine ingredients beyond veggi burgers and frozen vegetables! ;) My husband on the other hand is quite the chef (thank goodness)!

Courtney! WOW! You were really creative this week! GOOD FOR YOU!! Everything from edible art (I almost licked the screen :) to that beautiful necklace!
I agree with you, kids are our greatest work of art! Sometimes the messiest to mold and form!
