No beading for me!

Instead I spent the weekend:
shopping with my daughter,
eating good food with friends,
playing at the pool,
drinking beverages,
sleeping in,
eating crabs with my sister and her family,
and playing Just Dance on the Wii.
Have you played this game?
OMG! My face hurts from smiling. :)

Here are a few of my favorite shots from today, enjoy.

Small chalk feet!

One of my favorites!

On a small side note, I have reached an interesting spot within me, I have decided that
life is too short.
Too short to spend the worry and energy on things that truly don't matter,
you know what they are.
I am not sure where this came from or how it arrived.
I have spent so much time in a not so good place.
I don't like it there.
I need to be in the here and now, everyday.
Enjoying my family, my house, my craft.
I am going to work very hard on being in the here and now.
Enjoying life.

I hope your weekend was a good one!
Enjoy!

First you start with this...

Then you throw in some blue...

And you end up with this!

And she likes it! It actually is a beautiful shade of blue.
(let's hope it is easy to maintain)

Simple Truths

Do you know Erin?
Her work is amazing. She is always there with a kind word. Her support is unwavering.
And her words never fail to encourage, support, or inspire.

She has started this wonderful line of pendants called
Simple Truth Pendants. You can see them in the new issue of Beads 2011. They are all over the pages!
She is doing a Simple Truths Sampler.
You can sign up and she will send  you a pendant a month ~ all you have to do is create and share.
I think she still has spaces left.
Go.
It will be great fun!
I did!

Is anyone there?

I am here! It has been awhile, I know.
Life keeps getting in the way.
I signed up for the Spring Fairy Tale swap through the wonderful
Lori Anderson.  And she paired me with Valerie Norton, you can check her out here.
She sent the most wonderful package of goodies.

Love the box.

Lots of goodies.

Here is a quick shot of what I sent her.

We will create and then have a reveal blog party! Stay tuned.

Hope your weekend was a good one, mine rocked!

New Venture.......

Updated: 5/9 ~ And I sold 3 today! :)

Well, I did it!
I have listed my pendants on my Etsy site.
I am half way through listing and will list the rest tomorrow. (boy that is a tedious process.....)

Here are two that didn't make it.....

The purple I had washed in a light coral, didn't like it, couldn't get it all off, put white on over....
the yellow didn't come out well either, several washes, then I painted the squares (bored) and then decided to sprinkle with some glitter! Why, because I could.  They are just sittin' around.

Here is my question to you,
Should I list them in my jewelry shop or create another Etsy for them?

Wait - can I add more?????

These were waiting for me when I came home today!!  Thanks to Erin who shared this great Etsy vendor (Nora62) in one of her last posts, I. got. these!

Pinks and green

So beautiful!

Lush.ious.ness!

Just wanted to share....................
(now, can I not make dinner for the family, not do laundry and just go down and play? )

BTW!

Here is what is on my table!

Yes, my polymer from Sunday

But most importantly, these. The eggs have been baked already.
I am not sure what to do with the squares and flowers.
Do I put holes in them? One or two?
 Please, share your thoughts!

I hope to be able to work with them this weekend.

Happy Wednesday ~ please check out Flickr and see what others are playing with!
Thank you Heather!

So darned glad....

....that I have my camera back! Look!

Buttons, flowers and those wonderful Juls beads

I love this necklace! Those fun beads from Walmart that I got on Ohio when my daughter and I were doing the college visit thing.

There is a fun shell button "bead" and the dangles coming from the bud are vintage czech beads from my mother-in-law.

After a wonderful Friday watching all the pomp and circumstance on tv and a great weekend, I did get some time to play and I decided to play with some polymer. What do you think?

I created some pendants and then some "flowers" that I will make into either a necklace or bracelet like this necklace.

I am partial to these pink ones. Love the swirl.

Of course, I have to polish and do something to them.
I will share once I "finish" them up.

And then there are these. What should I do? Create charms or pendants?
(Not my eggs - I will share those later.)  Perhaps I should be saving some of this for BTW? :)

Happy Sunday all!
