Finally

Some time to play.
I mean really play with my beads,
not just move them around the table.
Ok, my table is a mess and it had to be cleaned.......

I made these fun layer bracelets.

Then this fun piece. I love the colors and the luscious green
beads are WOOD, yup, nice and light weight.

And this one!
May be my new favorite.
Howlite stars, wonderful orange rondelles
and silk ribbon from Jamnglass on etsy.
Love their silk ribbon, all hand dyed.
Wonderful!

Can you guess what I am wearing today?????

There is another wonderful collar piece that I made
that I could have sworn that I took photos up and uploaded,
but apparently not.
Will share that one soon.
Could be another "favorite"! :)

So nice to be back at the table in between getting everything ready for
my daughter's graduation, birthday and party!

Hope you all had a great long weekend!

Echo Creative Club!

Yeah!
Another month that Jeannie let me
play along!
Thank you Jeannie.

I got these wonderful mint green and gold peeled
paint art beads and I immediately knew that
I wanted to make a bracelet.

I am loving the whole wrap thing
that is happening right now.

Ok, tried my hand at using hemp.
Kinda liking it. Have to keep playing though.

The above goes with these!
Which I have been wearing regularly.

Don't they look wonderful on my model?

Please hop around and see what others have made
with Jeannie's treasures.

Thank you doesn't seem enough!

The amazing, talented, thoughtful,
creative, funny Lori!

Well, if you click here
you can read the article she wrote for the May
edition of Bead Trends.

Why am I going on…..well,
SHE USED ONE OF MY BEADS!

I have played around with polymer a bit, made a few beads,
sent one to Lori for one of the
most amazing Bead Soup Blog Parties.
(or a swap, my overwhelmed brain can't remember)

So, thank you Lori, for using of my beads.
I guess this means that I am kinda published!!!

Go figure!

Behind the Eight Ball

That is exactly where I am standing at the moment
Feeling over whelmed.
So, I apologize for the lack of posts,
the lack of photographs,
and the lack of me.

We are headed into IB exams, final exams, PROM,
(yes, I am taking the photos, come back!)
graduations, promotion ceremonies, graduation parties,
18th birthday celebrations
(how the hell did that happen?)
Family coming and going,
vacation (Disney here we come!),
wisdom teeth being extracted and
college registration.
All in the next 6 weeks or so.

So, please forgive the spottiness
of my appearences here.
I will do my best.

I am doing Jeannie's Echo Creative Club challenge
and Amy's Cocktail Blog Hop,
both the end of the month.

Please stay with me,
I promise it will get better!

One Crayon Color Challenge

Purple and all of the goodness that comes with it!

Sally Russick of The Studio Sublime
invited us to play along with her next challenge,
the One Crayon Color Challenge.

I choose one of my favorite colors ~
Purple!
Love that color, so regal, so majestic.
Love it.

In going through my beads I did discover that I had
a fair amount of purple but, can one ever have
enough beads?
I think not!
(actually I probably have plenty!)

So when my mom was in town a few weeks ago we headed
out to the Intergem show at the National Harbor
here in DC and gathered plenty. :)

As usual for me, this required much playing,
stringing, un-stringing, wrapping and un-wrapping
before I got it right.

I also added a small accent color, can you guess?
Tangerine Tango. Love that color!

So, without further ado….

A combination of wooden beads, these amazing purple geode beads, purple seed beads,
purple Artistic Wire and a few well placed tangerine chinese crystal
rondelles, a handmade tangerine enameled bead
and a purple polymer pendant, these last two made by me.
:)

Thank you Sally, for inviting us to color our day!

Please take a moment or twelve and hop around
and see what everyone made!
